The quaint decorations were excep
tionally attractive. In the center of
the highly polished mahogany table,
resting on a mat of Venetian lace, was
the daintiest of pink straw bonnets,
filled and overflowing with pink and
while roses, the beauty of the blossoms
showing thru the filmy vail of pink tulle
which surrounded the crown and ended
In a bow among the roses. Surround
ing this exquisite creation "of millinery
were a dozen silver vases, holding white
carnations. Tied to each of the chairs,
with butterfly hows of ribbon and tulle,
were flower filled poke-bonnets, and
these were also painted on the place
cards.
Silver bowls held confections In pink
and white, and In the elaborate course
luncheon especially unique wan the
cream, representing Easter eggs, and
resting In a bonnet of pink spnn candy,
and the cakes, which were miniature
bonnets, with trimmings of pink and
while flowers.
Mrs. Stevens, wearing a moat becom
ing white lingerie gown, hand-embroid
ered. and trimmed In Valenciennes lace,
received her guests In the drawing
room, where quantities of pink hydran
geas, with their rich green leaves, filled
the window ledges and every available
nook.
