At the Casino.
The Caelno came back Into Ita own
Monday night, when an audience that
wa* large, considering the inclemency
of the weather, was treated to a vaude
ville bill unusually pleasing and clever.
To get the acts In their proper rela
tive merit, one must start at the laat
act and go backwards to the first act.
The best on the bill Is that of Fred St.
Onge and Company, whoa* stunt Is en
titled "Just an Idea for Vaudeville," and
who. besides offering some good come
dy knockabout and pantomime, are
about the most daring trio of bicycle
riders Atlanta baa ever seen.
They do everything else everybody
else has ever done on the bicycle and
the unlcycle. It seems, and then go a
little fnrther and do a few that Atlanta
theatergoers had never before seen at-
tempted.
Harry Lester, ventriloquist, Is th*
second best number* snd the second last
number. So many ventriloquists have
been seen and heard In Atlanta during
the laat year that, the audience had a
prejudice against Lester when he made
his appearance.
But Lester, It developed, !• a wonder.
He and his medium carry-on a great
comedy aklt. the quarrel and near-sep
aratton of the two being highly enter
talntng and ludicrous. The medium
also gives splendid Imitations of street
care, sawmills and other thlnga, mak
ing the act an unusual one.
The act concluded with Lester smok
ing a cigarette while hie medium sang
—and he was smoking, too. To prove
It. as an encore, he walked among tha
audience, hie medium In his arm sing
ing. and he smoking a cigarette ae If
for dear life. The applause was ter
rific.
George C. Boniface, Jr., the erstwhile
musical comedy star, well known to
Atlanta theatergoers, and Bertha' Walt,
zlnger and Company, the head-liner* of
the bill, presented a high-class farce
and singing sketch, "The Singing Les
son," which was greatly enjoyed.
Connor* and Aldert, comedians, are
clever with their grotesque dancing,
especially. Holman Brothers, acrobats,
do some thrilling stunts on tha horizon-
Ml bar*. The moving picture* and
Mathlessen'a splendid orchestra of
twenty musicians added greatly to the
enjoyment of the bill. Here the week
