The wedding of Miss Ellse Marshall
Landrum and Mr. Fttihugh Scott, of
Milwaukee, which look place Wednes
day at noon at the home of the bride's
parents. Dr. And Mrs. W. W. Landrum,
on East North-ave., was one of the
moet beautiful events of the eeason.,
The occasion ws* a quiet one, thy
guests present Including only the Im
mediate families of the young people,
the offleere of the Flret Baptist church
and their wive*, and the members of
the Ten Club, of which Dr. Landrum
has for many yesre been a member. To
the stralne of Mendelssohn's wedding
march, rendered by Mrs. Nellie Mann,
the bride entered the drawing room
with her brother. Mr. Baylor Landrum,
and was met by the groom and Dr.
Landrum, Dr. Landrum performing the
ceremony.
The bride's gown was an exqulalte
creation of white meeaallne. following
Dlrectolre llnea. The brief yoke and
the aleeve* were of fllet net. The cor
eage was effectively made of pearl pas-
aementerle and enriched by tiny rever*
sewn with seed pearls. Pendants of seed
pearls ornamented the sleeves and the
graceful aaah nnd a chaplet of orange
blossoms was worn In the hair. The
bridal bouquet woe an armful of bride
roses.
The ceremony wn* followed by an
elegant buffet luncheon. Throughout
the rooms of the lower floor vases of
bride and American Beauty roses wers
used with charming effect, ferns and
potted plants adding to the attractive
ness of the decorations.
Mrs. Landrum, the mother of the
bride, wore a gown of block marqui
sette, fashioned with duchess lace.
Mr*. Frederick Myers Scott, of Mil
waukee, the groom's mother, was
gowned In lavendsr silk net, mad* over
foundation skirts of lavender chiffon
and taffeta, and worn with black hat
trimmed with plume*.
Mrs. Frank Watkins, of Savannah,
who was before her marriage Miss
Madge Landrum, wore whit* chiffon
cloth, made with bertha of rose point
lace.
Mlsa Grace I.andrum's gown waa of
blue satin, mad* princess-empire, a
touch of pink panne velvet giving a
FYenchy efTeet.
Mr*. Henry Francis West the groom's
■later, was gowned In white chiffon and
lace, made Dlrectolre.
Miss Mae Scott's gown was of gray
corded ellk, made after the graceful
fashion of the Empire period, and
trimmed with thread of gold embroid
ery. Her hat was black velvet trimmed
with plumes.
Mias Ida Landrum was becomingly
gowned In pink tissue over taffeta, and
Mlsa Mary Landrum wore a frock of
dark red cloth trimmed with lace.
Numeroue and handsome gifts were
received by the young people, among
them, a silver service lined with gold
from the deacons of the First Baptist
church; a solid silver Ice cream service
from the woman's executive board, and
fi massive silver bowl from the Ten
Club.
Mr. Scott and hla bride left Wednes
day afternoon for Florida, where they
will spend their honeymoon, returning
to Atlanta for a brief visit to Dr. and
Mrs. Landrum before going to their
home In Milwaukee. Mrs. Scott's
going-sway gown waa of dark blue
cloth, worn with a smart toque trimmed
with blue wings.
Her marriage to Mr..Scott remove*
from Atlanta one of the most beautiful
and beloved young women of the city
and her permanent residence In Mil
waukee la a source of general regret
among a wide circle here. In addition
to rare personal beauty, she possesses
serial gifts and a grace of character
which have made her exceedingly pop
ular.
Mr. Scott, tHe son of Mr. and Mrs. F.
M. Scott, who formerly resided here,
has hosts of friends In Atlanta. He la a
