HOW 10 GET IN AND WIN
If you have been nominated, get out among your
friends and relatives who are not taking the Georgian,
and insist on their giving you a year’s subscription;
as the longer time they subscribe for, the more votes
you get proportionately, up to five years. No one in
dividual is permitted to subscribe for a longer period
than that. ,
Pick out five or ten of your closest and best
friends and give each one of them a subscription blank
and pledge them to secure at least one yearly subscrip
tion for you.
You have done that. Now, get your friends to
gether for a “Subscription Shower” at your home, and
have them turn over what they have done for you.
Next week have another “Subscription Shower”
—Where? Well, say at your dearest friend’s home.
Repeat the trick. It all counts in the big total that is
to win you a $5,000,homo or one of our other valuable
awards.
Induce your butcher and your baker nnd your
candle-stick-makcr, in fact anyone to whom you have
been giving your patronago to give you at least one
year’s subscription. Get them all to assist you. The
more the merrier. .
Have You Turned in Every Subscription Possible?
Several of the Contestants Only Need One
More Year to Entitle Them to a Game
or Fish Set of Beautiful Dishes.
Sharply nt midnight The Georgian'e second vote period will terminate. At the same time you loee your oppor
tunity to earn a game' nr fish not of beautiful dlshee. If yhu have deposited your eubsciiptlons In the poatoffice
properly mldreioted to The Georgian before that hour, they will bo Included In thin week's buslhess. The Idea of
giving away a net of dlshee for three ffew yearly mibacrlptlon* during the past week only met with partial ap
proval. Heveral of our contestants have failed to take advantage of this offer, and several others only need a sln-
gie year to be entitled to a set. There Is plenty of time, however, for you, one and all, to turn In the necessary
three before midnight tonight. If the country contestants deposit theirs in the poatoffice so the envelope shows
postmark, ft will put .them on an equal footing with the city contestants and permit them to work up to the very
last moment. If you have any subscriptions, be sure and turn them in before midnight, and secure votes In the
second period, as Monday morning the third period will be In force.
or flln sets of beautiful dishes will receive same before Christmas.
Every contestant entitled to the game or „ .
In this way you will earn your own Christmas present.
We feel confident that those who did not earn a pres
ent are far from being discouraged, and will yet make the top-notchers hustle for first place.
A great number of the contestants have been depending upon their friends to come to The Georgian office
and prepay their subscriptions. A few do, but the majority forget or put It off till later. It Is, therefore, to the
Interest of every contestant to round up these forgetful friends before It Is too late; show them that you only
need their subscription to entitle you to a set of the dishes, and you wish to get It In before the second period
closes. | t
We ere betraying the confidence of no one when we eay that our magnificent array of prizes can be won by
any one with the proper amount of determination and the necesaary will power to act.
CONTE8T CLOSES. '
The Georgian's contest will close at 12 o'clock midnight, January 21, 1209. By ao doing the 95.000
hou.e will be complete at that time and tbe contestant winning the same can move into a new home.
. IN CASE OF A TIE.
In caae of a tie for any of the prises offered by The Georgian-and News, each contestant tlelng will
receive prises of equal value.

during the day. the contest department will remain open every Wednesday and Saturday evening from 8 to 10
o’clock.
