SEEKTO SELL WINE
German Settlement At Cull

Construction.
MONTGOMERY, -Ala., Dec. 19.—
Complicated questions are reaching the
lawyers and the Judges of the state
with regard to the enforcement of the
prohibition law In January. In many
rases saloon men have places leased
for Are years more and landlords are
threatening to hold them to the con
tracts. sven If they are foroed out of
business.
It Is also contended by tome that un
der the new law wince can not be served
at a family or private table-and that
persona can not sell wines of their own
make. This will kill off what hns be
come a great business In the German
ssttlements of Cullman and Frutthurst.
There are now two or three good cellars
at Frulthurat, which are becoming more
or less famous and which represent s
great deal of money. It le said that the
men who own the vineyards there are
going to try to get a ruling In line with
the old laws to allow them to sell, wine
of their own make as of old.
