city council of Rome Is carried out
Mayor T. W. Lipscomb will, at the.next
meeting of the council, name a board of
lady visitors for the public school, from
each ward.
When the report of the committee
was read at council meeting. Alderman
Russell, of the First ward, preaented a
minority report. He stated that he had
no opposition to anything the ladlea
might say or do, but that with a board
of trustees and a council committee, he
believed the school to lie sufficiently
governed already, and that too many
cooks spoil the broth.

Monday the Retail Groeex-s and Butchers’ Association opened their two weeks’
show with a parade, which, for the kind, excelled anything previously seen in At

There.were several features in the parade conspicuous for their very appro

Kelly Bros. Co., advertising their already well-known “’K-K-K” FLOUR elici
ted much praise from, the vast numbers of spectators in the down-town streets.
As shown in the illustration, the Kelly Tally-ho was filled with the office
force followed by a veritable caravan with banners flying, consisting of fiive bug
gies and one automobile, in which were the men who help the sales of "K-K-K”
to exceed that of any other flour in this section of the country of its high quality.
While this would ordinarilv constitute a sufficiently large portion of the parade
