bridge party on Tuesday In compliment
to Miss Leila Brandon, whose marrlago
to Mr. Clayton S. Berry takes place on
Wednesday afternoon. ,
The apartments were beautifully
decorated with a wealth of qweet old
fashioned spring flowers—snowballs,
pinks and roses.
The prize Cor top score was a china
pitcher, and the consolation a lace col
lar and Jabot. The guest prize was a
box of dainty handkerchiefs.
Mrs. Arnold was gowned for the
afternoon In sage green silk, and Mrs.
Beasley wore blue silk.
Miss Brftndon was gowned In light
blue silk trimmed In Persian embrold
ery and lace.

Mr. G. A. Hartrampt linn given the
Queen Theater for April -9 for the
Uncle Remus memorial fund. During
the day a number of Atlanta people will
ontribute to the program to be ren
dered there.

Kayette Tent No. 8.
Mr*. Brown will visit Wayeross and
other Southern cities before returning
to her home In Bradford. Pn.

MISS DENNI8 GIVES TEA.
Mis* Luclle Dennis entertained at a
pretty afternoon tea on Tuesday In
compliment to, her house gucxt*, Mrs.
\V. W. Trlmpl, of East Orange, N. J„
and Mlxa Llewellyn King, of Gaines
ville.
The apartments open to guests were
decorated with snowballs apd palms, a
color scheme of white and green being
adhered to In all apartments. The
tea table In the dining room was espe
cially pretty with a cut glass vase of
white carnations and fern placed on
o mirrored surface. *nd with mats of
Cluny lace, on which were silver and
cut glass dishes, holding green mints
and bonbons, and sliver candlesticks
with green silk shaded tapers.
Punch was served In the library by
Miss Julia Rosser and Miss Mildred
Hprntrng. At the coffee urn were Miss
Nan Stephens und Mies Louise John
son, while the young women at the tea
table, were Miss Elle' Dargan. Miss
Flnlayson and Miss Grace Thorn.
The young hostess and honor guests
received, assisted by Mrs. Dennis and
Miss Florence Dennis, uthers assist
ing In entertaining were Miss Georgia
Watts. Mrs. Harry Hobbs, Miss Cun-
dell, Miss Anna Belle West, Miss Mary
Anderson and Mrs. McEachern.
