Rome, Ga., Aug. 27.—The escape of
two more white convicts from the
chalngnng of Floyd county was
ported Thursday.. The men made their
escape before daybreak, sawing the
chains that held them to thslr bunks.
Ths convicts who escaped are George
Robinson and Coot Watters, each a
young man. Both were confined for
minor charges In ths Floyd county Jail
and sawed thru the bars wltt/lnstru-
ment* furnished by Robinson's wife.
They were recaptured and the sen
tence on the chaingung was for the
Jail break. The county commissioners
are offering a reward of Its for the
capture of the men.
Raise Embargo on Michigan Hay.
Washington, Aug. 27.—The state de
partment today was advised that the
British government has raised the cm
bargo on Michigan hay and straw.
Hurt by Fall From Wagon.
Mitchall, Ga., Aug. 27.—B. L. Kitch
ens. th* fourteen-year-old son of Mr.
M. Kitchens, the editor and
manager of The Mitchell Banner, fell
from a wagon load of fodder yesterday
and was painfully hurt.
Died During Night.
Roms, Ga., Aug. 27.—Mrs. Adaline
Nix, a well-known resident of Lin-
dale, was found dead In her bed
Thursday morning. She had been In
her usual health the night before. The
Nix family came to Lfndale from Dal
ton. a few weeks ago.
