ON TUBERCULOSIS
On Sunday afternoon, the flrat of
■erlea of lectures on tuberculosis was
delivered to the members of Atlanta
Typographical Union, and the mem
bers of their families at Federation
hall, 14 1-2 North Korsyth-at.
This lecture was delivered by Dr.
R. Daley, one of Atlanta's most prom
inent physicians, and »vas both In
teresting and helpful. The topic
one that particularly appeals to all
members of the printing fraternity
from the very nature of their work.
The board of health of Atlanta, the
various anti-tuberculosis societies and
other organizations are making ft vig
orous campaign against this disease
and they are seeking the co-operation
and Intelligent fighting s«rength_of
every citizen of Atlanta, and the Ty
pographical Union has already taken
a strong hand for the eradication of
this ravaging disease.

FOR THE FOURTH TIME
George L. Berry, of San Francisco,
Cal., for the fourth time has been
elected president of the International
Priming Pressmen and Assistants'
Union of North America. The nomi
nations for International odices hav
ing closed, resulted In the re-selection
of President Berry unanimously.
Among the many accomplishments
In President Berry's administration
has been the establishment of the
eight-hour day of this organization. A
victory In the United Statea court
over the typothetae of America, which
was of world-wide Importance to the
laboring movement. The establish
ment of a technical education achool
and the establishment of a home for
superannuated and disabled members.
President Berry begins his. fourth
term of two years on the third Mon
day In June this year.
