FUNERAL OF BANKER
TO BE HELD AT NEWBERRY
Nowberry, 8. C., Juno 29.—Tho fu
neral of Edwin B. HJpp, banker and
merchant of Newberry, who died yes
terday In a hospital In Charlotte, N. C.,
where he had gone for treatment, will
be at Newberry. Mr. Hlpp had been
afflicted with a throat affection for
some months, but continued to give hi*
attention to his business affairs until a
week ago. He wus 60 years of age;
was president of tho Exchange bank
of Newberry, and for tho past fifteen
years conducted a large mercantile es
tablishment here. He was one of the
most highly esteemed and Influential
men of the county and an officer In
the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
