with no signs of a setback. The buying
was general and of the best character.

New York, Nov. 25.—Early losses sus
tained by most stocks at the opening of
trading in Wail .Street today were wiped
out within the first twenty minutes of
trading, and In most instances fractional
gains were substituted.
General Electric, which during the lat
ter part of Wednesday afternoon moved
up 2 points, continued Its advance today,
opening at a gain of 1% points over
Wednesday's dose. The odvance in this
stock was due to a report of an Increased
dividend.

rally. Liverpool was 1%01% lower.
Broomhall cabled that tho easy tone was
due to the decline In Winnipeg, weakness
in Buenos Ayres and rains in Argentina.

on the fine weather and scattered local
selling. Commission houses were buying,
and the trading was fairly large/ Recov
eries came In the first few minutes.
| Oats were slow, with the selling scat
tered and the trade light. Brokers,
Ithought to be acting for Howe, bought
some. Commission houses were on both
sides of the market.
