New York, Nov. 26.—Dullness and „
regularity, which has been the only fea
ture of the stock market during the
greater part of tho week, continued at
the opening of trading today. Brokers
apparently were more enthuseu at the
football game In Philadelphia than tht>
were with the movement of stock prices,
and a largo delegation left on an early
train for the scene of the Army-Navy
conflict
About the only feature of today's earl;
trading was General Electric, whlci
moved up from 159% to 160, tho highest
price touched by tnls stock In many
months. Despite the advance, trading in
this stock was confined to a few hundred
shares.
St Paul was the only one of the rail
road group to show any strength, moving
up to 126 during the first hour. Reading,
Union Pacific. Southern Pacific, Northern
Pacific and the Hill stocks were practi
cally unchanged over yesterday’s close.
Steel during the early trading was Inac
tive. The common opened at 7074 and
later moved up to 80. A few minutes
later the stock settled back to Its open
ing quotation.
On the curb most of the stocks opened
inactive and Irregular.
Americans closed slightly lower In Lon

There has been a heavy Increase In out-

for both spot and futures still shows a
