ONE DAY, A Kin BIRD, WHO DWELT IH THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

AND ALL OF THE LAND-HOPPERS MARVELED GREATLY, AND SAID,

THEY CAME UPON A FUNNY LEAFLESS PLANT, MUCH RE
SEMBLING THE OOAI SKIN SUNSHADES CARRIED BY GIANTS IN
THOSE PAYS. THEY FOUND ITS BROAD CANOPY AFFORDED THEM
rROTECIION FROM THE STOBM.
THE STRANGE UMBRELLA PROVED A GREAT SOURCE OF IK-
TEREST AND ENVY TO THE OTHER TOADS, WHO, CROWDED
ABOUT, AND PLIED THEM WJTH QUESTIONS. AS TO WHAT IT WAR
AND WHERE THEY 001 ITj
THEY WERE SO PLEASED WITH THE PLANT, THAT WHEN
THE RAIN CEASED. THEY BROKE IT OFF AND CARRIED IT ABOUT
WITH THEM. FINDING IT AS MUCH PROTECTION FROM THE SUN
AS THE RAIN.
