meeting of the cltlient of Warrenton
and Warren county, held In the court
house at Warrenton Tuesday night,
strong resolutions were adopted, con
demning the action of the authorities
at Augusta for their failure to enforce
the prohibition law.
The meeting waa presided over by
Hon. B. P. Davta. and speechea wen-
made by Rev. J. M. Tumi In, Rev. 6. H.
Ivey. Dr. W. ,W. Pilcher. M. 1,. Fella
and 1,. D. McGregor.
. .The resolutions also contained the
following: "We tender our slncereaf
thanks to Judge A. W. Fite, of Carters
vllle; Judge Nash R. Broyles, of At
lanta, ana Judge Robert Hodges, of
Macon, for the strenuous efforts that
they are each making In their respec
tive jurisdictions to enforce the prohi
bition law.”

have committed suicide hy Jumping

service operatives had hounded Snell
to death. '

Frderal authorities because of alleged
false testimony given In a land suit In
Texas. The secret service mew accord
ing to the charge, followed him from

day. The crews of the channel steam

settlement with the White Star line.
