The brilliant decoration of the white house lawns and the Interior of tho mansion are complete and with, the promise of Ideal weather tonight the celebration will be without exception the most no table social event Washington has seen for half a century. Tive Thousand Queata. More than 5,000 guests from every part of the United States will accept the hospitality of the President and Mrs. Taft. All trains arriving In this city yesterday and today brought out- of-town friends and relatives of tho distinguished family. They crowded the hotels, and will tonight mlngto with the social throng on the grounds of the mansion. Hundreds of Presents. Presents have arrived by the hun dreds. The luncheon given to the president today by the Cincinnati Commercial club took place at tha Chevy Chase Country club and was attended by more than 60 persona. HONEST MAN BOYS HIGH SCHOOL 1907 TO ENJOY A BANQUET The fifth annual banquet of the Boys High School class of 1907 will be held at S o'clock Wednesday night at the Cafe Durand. At the banquet last year, which was attended by about 30 mem bers of the class which was graduated with 61 members. It was decided that In future a banquet would be held oh the third Wednesday In June of each year and ths choosing of the place and menu was left to the officers. The plates this year will cost 12 each and every man In ths class Is urged to attend. The class of '07 was one of the largest of Its period to be graduated from the High school and has. met every year at, a successful reunlop banquet, In which every oh* seemed to forget the fact that ‘he was nut of the High school and no longer connected overy day with the others. Many of tho men who were graduated have made splendid records In college and In business In the short time since they left the High school. Carlisle Smith, now playing third base for Nashville, In the Southern league, was a member of this class and starred on the High school team for three seasons.
