Ayer’s Cathartic Pills.
For *ll ih* Pnrpooe* of a Laxative
Medicine.
Perhaps no one medicine Is
Ap* so universally required by ev
erybody as a cathartic, nor was
ever any before so universally
adopted into nee, in every
country and among all classes,
Y ! as this mild bnt efficient pur-
L A gativo Pill. The obvious
©IKS / reason is, that tt is a more re-
V aJI Hable and far more effectual
Abti ß .ilijp7 remedy than any other. Those
-1 * y-L ■ -A<JltL- w,ln tr *®d *L know that It
cured them: those who have
not. know that It cures their
neighbors mid triends, and all know that what it does
ou-'c it <io-» always -that it never fails through any lault
..t of Ha Borafwaillan W* have, wwA esw show,
thousands upon thousands of certificates of remarkable
cures of the following complaints, but such cures are
known in every neighborhood, and why should we pub
lish them f Adapted to all ages and conditions in all cli
mates : containing neither calomel nor any deleterious
drug, they may be taken with safety by anybody. Their
oigar coating preserves them ever fresh, and makes
them pleasant to take, while being purely vegetable no
harm can arise from their use in any quantity.
They operate by their powerful influence on the inter
nal viscera to purify the blood and stimulate it into
healthy action—remove the obstructions of the stomach,
boweis, liver, and other organs of the body, restoring
their irregular action to health, and by correcting, wher
ever they exist, such derangements as are the first origin
of disease.
Minute directions are given in the wrapper on the box,
for the following complaints, which these Pills rapidly
core:
For Dpsuepsia or Indigestion, ListlManess, Lan
guor and Loss of Appetite, they should be taken mod
erately to stimulate the stomach and restore its healthy
tone and action.
For Liver Complaint and Its various symptoms,
Biilious Headache Bick Headache Jaundice or
Green sickness, Billions Colic, and Billions Fevers
they should be Judiciously taken for each case, to correct
the diseased action or remove the obstructions which
cause It.
For Dysentery or Diarrhina, but one mild dose is
renerally required.
For Rheumatism, Gout, Gravel, Palpitation of the
Heart Pain in the Side Back and Loins they should
be continuously taken, as required, to change the dis
eased action ol the system, W ith such change those
complaints disappear.
For Dropsy and Dropsical Swellings they should be
taken iu large end irequeut doses to produce the effect
if a drastic purge.
For Suppression a large dose should be taken as It
produces the desired effect by sympathy.
A* a Di .ner Pill, lake one or two Pills to promote
dlgeslio ami relieve the stomach.
Ano casloual dose stimulates the stomach and bowels
intol valtliy action, restore* the appetite, aud invigorates
the -yeteni. Hence it is olteu advantageous where uo
i-r .ou* derangement exists. One who feels tolerably
v ell. often limls that a done of these Pills makes him
eel decidedly better, from their cleansing aud renovating
efiect on the digestive apparatus. There are uuiueioa*
oases where a purgative is required, which we cannot
.-nuuieiate livie, but they suggest tbi mselves to every
body, and where the virtue* of this Pill are known the
oubiu no longei doubt wbat to employ.
