Ayer’s Cathartic Pills,
For all th« Harpmet of a Laxative
Ulsdltlnr.
Perhaps no one medicine is
so universally required by ev
erybody as a cathartic, nor was
ever any b^-fore so universally
adopted Inlo use, iu every
Country and among all classes,
as this mihl hut efficient pur
gative Fill. The obvious
reason is, that lt is a more re
liable and far more effectual
remedy than any other. Those
.who have tried it, know thatit
.red them; those who have
not, know that U cures their
neighbors and trieuds. and sll know that what it doe*
once it does always thai ii never fails through any lault
**! neglect of its tompor-iiioti. We have, and can show,
thousands upon tiioiis.aiids ol certificates ol remarkable
cures ol the toliuwiug complaiuls, but such cures are
kuowu iu every UeigbiHThood, aud why should we pub
lish ibem ? Adapted to all ages aud conditions iu all fli
msies; coutainim l.eiTb. • calomel nor any deleterious
drug, they may be talou «ilh safely by auyliody. Their
sugar coatiug preserves them ever fresh, and makes
them pleasant to lake, while being purely vegetable no
term cau arise from their use iu any quantity.
They operate by their powerful influence ou the inter
im] viscera to purify the blood aud stimulate It into
healthy action—remove the obstructions ol the stomach,
isiweis, liver, anil other organs ol the body, restoring
ineir irregular action to health, and by correcting, wher
ever they exist, such derangements as ate the first origin
u! disease.
Minute directionsaregiven in the virapjH-rou the box,
tor the following complaints, which ihese Pills rapidly
rure:
For Dpsnepsia or Indigestion, Lis t less ness, Lkn
ghoi and Loss of- Appetite, they should be taken mod
Stalely to stimulate Ihe stomach and restore its healthy
tone aud action.
For Liy or Complaint ami its various symptoms,
Billions. Headache hick Headache Jaundice or
Ureen sickness, Billie us Colic, ami Billions Fevers
they should be judiciously taken tor each case; to correct
Ihe diseased action or leinove Uie obstructions which
cause it.
ror Dysentery or Diarrhma, but one mild dose is
'enerally required
For Rheumati-m, Gout, Gravel, Palpitation of the
Heart Pain in the blue Bach and Leins they should
lie continuously taken, as required, to change the dis
eased action of the system. With such change those
complaints disappe ,r.
For Dropsy ana Dropsical Swellings they should be
taken iu large and frequent doses to produce the effect
af a drastic purge.
For puppression a large dose should be taken as it
prodnees the desired effect by sympathy.
As a Di ,ner Pill, lake one or two Pills to promote
divestio and relieve the stomach.
Au o casionai dose stimulates the stomach and bow els
into! ealiliy action, restores the appetite, and inv.goratea
the ystem. Hence it is olten advantageous where no
'd- .oas derangement exists. Line who feels tolerably
v ell. often finds that a dose oi these Pills makes him
cel dc-cidcdly better, lrom their cleansing and renovating
effect on the digestive apparatus. There are numeiocs
cases where » purgative is required, which we cannot
enumerate here, hut they suggest th- mselves to every
body, aud where the virtues ot this Pill are known the
public uo longer doubt what to employ.
Ayer’s Cherry Fectoral-
For Dinease* of the Tttroaf and Lane*,
Such as Coughs, Colds, Whooping
Cough, Brouchitis, Asthma,
and Consumption.
Probably never before iu the whole history of medi
cine, use anything won so widely and so deeply upon
tne conffdeuce ot mankind, as this excellent remedy for
pulmonary Complaint s. Through a long series of years,
and among most ol the races of men it has risen high> r
and higher in their ustimatiou, as it has become better
known, its uniform character ami power to care the
various affections of the lungs aud throat, have made it
known us a reliable protector against them. While
adapted to milder loiuisol disease audio yonug chil
dren, it is at the same time the most effectual remedy
that can be given lor imipient consumption, ami the
dangerous affecuou oi the throat and lungs. As a pro
vision against sudden attacks oi CBOBP, it should be
kept ou Land iu every larnily, aud indeed as all are some
times subject to colds and coughs, ail should be provided
with this antidote for them.
Although settled Consumption is thought incurable,
till great uurutn re of cases where the disease seemed
etiled, have been completely cured, aud the patient re
tored to sound health by ihe Cherry Pectoral, So
oiuplete is Us mastery over the disorders of the Lungs
and Throat, that the must obstinate of them yield lo It.
When nothing else could reach them, under the Cherry
Pectoral they subside aud disappear. J
dinger# and Public Speakers hud great protection
Irom it.
Asthma is always relieved, and often wholly cored
oy It.
Bronchitis is generally cured by tak ing the Cherry
Pectoral in small aud lreqiieui doses.
Bo generally an- its virtues known that it la unneces
sary to publish the cerlilicates ol iln m here, or do more
hau assure the publie that its qualities are luliy main-.
allied.
