Spence, of Dalton, took a search through the mountains in the vicinity of Cole City Tuesday, but report no find. W. G. Morrison, Sheriff Thur man, B. T. Brock, J. M. Lyemance and Win. Simpson were some of the visitors to Chattauooga this week. H. H. Sells, traveling repre sentative of the Chattanooga divi sion of the Salvation Army, spent a day or two here this Aveek work in the interest ot that institution. Bartow McFarland return ed to Rossville Monday, alter closing the revival services of last week Sunday evening. ODD FELLOWS CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY. Rev. H. KA Allison addressed the Trenton Lodge of Odd Fellows and a good sized congregation at the O. P. Church Sunday morning in an anniversary sermon of the order. The Odd Fellows met at their hall and marched in a body to the church to hear brother Allison’s talk. The speaker is an Odd Fellow hfmself and was at his best on this occasion. He read appropriate scriptures and made a fine talk. During his discourse he reviewed the great work the order is doing for humanity 7 and compared it favorably with the church. The talk was enjoy ed and appreciated by all good Odd Fellows. The Methodist Church building here, which has been abandoned on account of ite dangerous and delapidated condition, should be utilized in some manner to the best interest of the church and the proceeds applied toward the enac tion of anew one. The building is constantly deterioating as time goes by and care whatever is being taken of it. The doors are down and stock of all kinds shelter there. There are several thous and feet ot valuable lumber in the building properly handled will go far toward supplying material tor reconstruction. Willie Puckett, after suffering for scleral months with consump tion, died last Thursday and was hurried Friday at Payne grave yard. Revs. Bartow McFarland *vnd IL K.
