(schools had Many of the closed and the teaehers had ooae home, most of whom lived out of the county. The day was an interesting one. Mr. Martins real motive for coming at this time being that of urging the teachers to attend the summer school at Powder Springs. He made a fery ardent appeal to the teach¬ ers, to better equip themselves, t iking the position that through t le summer schools, was aD op- j >rtunity to ad who desired to ;d vance in their work as teach¬ ers. Mr Martin complimented the people of the Trenton school district and Dade County for the good work they had done toward the building of a new school building and expressed himself satisfied with the pro¬ gress and also promised to lend any help that was within his scope or authority. We are advised that the bonds fcrthe n3w building have been sold and the money is now on depoiit with the Hamilton Trust & Savings Baok, which is the county depository. Work *s planned to begin on the new building in a few days. Let everybody Boost and no- Lidv knock the advancement °f education, and the construc¬ tion of the new building. Th*? school and town are to be complimented for their zeal and excellent work in patting on the play “Out of Court”. Our agent ^ays that, while he did not discover among the actors in the play any future William Shakespears, Edwin Booths, or Joseph JefFersons, he wishes to make special men¬ tion of W. C. And last he would make special mention of the part as Traffic Cop, played by Sam Colquitt. The town of Rising Fawn is supplied with electric lights, running water piped fresh from the hills.
