Blake were in Chattanooga, Saturday, Mr. Blake was consulting a specialist as he has been ailing for some time. G. W. Bible was in Chatta¬ nooga, Saturday to see his mother Grandma Hamic who has just arrived from Florida where she spent the winter months. The Sunday School Institute met last Sunday with us. E. M. Allison of Rising Fawn was chairman. An interesting pro¬ gram was rendered. Mr. Cartel with his sister as organist and ocher help from Trento^ fu - nished the singing which was fine. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Lea. Mr. and Mrs, John L. Case and Prof. Austin and Rev. Lewis trom Trenton were in attend ance. Mr. and Mrs. Chas, Driskell from Fort Bayne were with us Sunday. Mr- and Mrs. E Gwartney who was our depot agent some years ago were with us Sun- Jay. They now live at Porter¬ ville, / 1 1 . Mrs. Johnson of North Chat¬ tanooga spent tne week-end with her daughter, Mrs. A. I. Brown, LaFayette Foiester and daugh¬ ter from Cave Springs were with us Sunday. John F Bible who has been here with here for some time is visiting his uncle O. N. Bible at Fort Payne. The next Sunday Schooi Institute will be held at Cave Springs the third Sunday in June. HEAD RIVER Spring seems to be here to the delight of the farming people and they are making good use of these pretty days. Our school closed Friday with a picnic dinner at the old Mur¬ ray spring. All were sorry to have our efficient teacher leave us. Mis 0 Lucy Johnson, daughter of H. R Johnson, was operated o:i Thursday night for appendi¬ citis al Davis hospital in At¬ lanta. She was attending school at Powder Springs and was suddenly taken ill and had to be operated on at once. Glad tz report her getting on well. Our Sunday School put on a missionary program Sunday, which was pretty good for Head River Our B. Y. P. U. gave a pro¬ gram on our work in Italy and Miss Lorena Johnson gave a short history of Italy, which was well rendered. New offi¬ cers were elected. E. Zalind visited relatives on t le mountain last week. C. L. Johnson made a trip to Chattanooga this week. Mr, and Mrs. B. VV. Holtz- hower made a business trip to Valley Head, Saturday. J. M. Freeman visited his daughter in Dalton this week. J. M. Freeman spent the week end with home folks.
