New Methodist Church
at Rising Fawn
The committee on the re¬
building of the Methodist
church at Rising Fawn met on
Wednesday. It was decided
to start work about Nov. 1.
The structure will be made
of wood and coat about 14000.
A lot has been donated by S.W.
Woodim to build upon, and it is
reported to the 1 Times that the
Masons will commence to re¬
build a hall soon on the lot
where the old building which
was formely used for lodge and
church purposes stood.
Two Bad Negroes
To Be Tried Soon

of the two negroes who are
held in tho county jail on a
charge of robbery and attempt
to murder will be held soon
after Nov. 9. when Judge Tar¬
ver will be in Trenton to in¬
vestigate their cases and de¬
termine the advisability of
holding a special session of
court to try them.

The good people of Trenton
gave the new preacher and fam¬
ily a pleasant and most appreciat¬
ed call on Tuesday evening at
seven o’clock.
After speeches had been madft
by a number we were invited into
the dining room where so many
good things had been brought by
these good people. We wish to
express our appreciation again for
these things and the interest taken
in us.

Jesse A. Turner
Dies Here
Jesse A. Turner, aged 85 and
Confederate vetran and life long
resident of G et > r gia» died at his
home in Trenton on Saturday
night, Oct, 17th Mr. Turner was
a native of Gwinette couuty but
moved to Dade county two years
ago. He served throughout the
Civil war in the Confederate army
and was in the entire campaign
around Chattanooga. He leaves a
son Edgar Guest, his wife having
died last May. The funeral was
held from the home Sunday morn¬
ing at 10 o’clock with interment at
the Baptist cemetery. The follow¬
ing acted as pallbearers: E. G.
Wright, J. C. Robertson, Louis
McBryar, D.W- Smith, Judge I.H.
Wheeler and Thomas Oliver.
