Mr Metzger. Manager of the
lookout Valley Canning Co. of
Trenton has been busy lately
remodeling the old plaining
mill and installing the mach¬
inery for the Company. A new
,ement floor has been laid and
other repairing neccessarv to
ke the old mill into a fit
ma modern canning
house for a
factory.
Tomatoes, beans, corn, straw¬
berries, black berries, sweet
potatoes. heMs, spinach, jellies
aud catsup will be canned by
the factory.
Farmers and gardners all
over the County are planting
large acreages of products for
the cannery to put up this j
season- this now
should only be a starter for
many more factories to locate
here,

tained with a birthday party Sat¬
urday afternoon in honor of her
little daughter Margaret’s fifth
birthday anniversary. A color
scheme of pihk and white was car-
jied in the decorations, games were
played and prizes awarded to
Mary Claire McMahan, Elizabeth
Hitt and Elsie Hale. Refresh¬
ments were served from a long
table on the lawn, the birthday
cake with the five candles was on
display in the center of the table.
About thirty guests were present.
Mrs Wibiam Elrod and twin
sons of Opelaka, Ala. are visiting
Mrs. W. L. and Luther Allison.

at Macon, Friday April 16. Mr.
Hale was honored as one of the
speakers at the convention. The
subject of his address was
“High Schools.”

programs that are rendered each
time by the school children. We

the Child’s Welfare Magazine on
the rearing and education of chil¬
dren, that every mother should
hear.
Friday Apr. 30th will be obser¬
ved with a May-day program.
Begin plar.ding now to come and

Tuesday, April 26th is the regu¬
