Thanksgiving
Glorious Thanksgiving will
soon le here with all ir’s turkeys,
chickens and pumpkin pi#s.
Friends and loved ones will gath
er togather. Some will be sad,
while others will be happy. Some
will have a hilarious time; Others
will praise God from whom a 11
blessings flow.
We are thankful to God fora
bountiful harvest this year and
his great loveand mercy. Without
God, we can do nothing. We real¬
ize that every good and perfect
gift is from above, and comes
down from the Father of Lights.
May we a 1 reap a bour.uiful har
vest of saved souls into the King¬
dom. As Jesus is saying: “Lift up
your eyes and look upon the fields
for they are white unto harvest
and reapers are needed for the
golden days are passing by and
who will reap today.”
Thanksgiving brings us back to
the days of old when our fore«
fathers gave thanks unto God for
our land. “May each child of God
be instrumental in leading a t
least one soul to God on Thanks
giving Day,” is my prayer.
-Mrs. Eldie White.

Better Breakfasts
' I biE cock crows In the morn-
i lug to make the sun rise, ac¬
cording to Edmond Rostand’s
“Chantecler.” Wise wives crow
in the morning If they are able to
make their husbands rise in a
happy mood, and, according to the
vast majority of them, one way
to accomplish this feat is to make
the husbands anticipate a tempt¬
ing breakfast. Here is a break¬
fast which should surely make any
husband rise in a happy mood:

Shredded Wheat with Cream

An Open Secret
It’s an open secret nowadays
how to have the best kind of cof¬
fee to complete a perfect break¬
fast. Just buy one of the
brands that are marked “vacuum
packed,” and your coffee is sure
to be fresh when you open it.
And that’s the whole secret of
having good coffee. No coffee that
isn’t fresh is ever good, no matter
how brewed.*
