Even though the rain was fall¬
ing and the roads were a little
muddy, everyone enjoyed the 4th
at Davis Junior High School, es¬
pecially the good barbecue by
Uncle Doug Thomas. Those who
wer e unable to attend, certainly
missed a treat, as we had some
excellent speakers, the State
School Supervisor, Mr. J.H. Cook,
County School Superintendent L
M. Allison, also the State Repre¬
sentative, Elbert Forester. We
wish to thank the boys of this
place who rendered the music
for the program; also, the splen¬

at Avans, Ga. Mrs. Cagle was
Miss Victoria Tinker before her
recent marriage.
