A Tribute of Respect
To Dade County
Dade County lies in the ex-
treme Northwest corner of
State, bounded the west j
on
Alabama, on the North by Tenn.
This most important county, has, i
for many years, been treated as
many overlooked, or forgotten
orphan children, with little re-
spect, but since the natural re- |
sources of Dade County has be-
come so noted to the South, the
prayer of the good people have
been fully answered and the
dreams of a life time have at
last come true.
There is no section of the
country endowed with more see-
nic beauty than Dade County. 1
Its scenic beauties now open to
the world through the comple-
tion of approximately 60 miles of
oil, concrete and hard surfaced
roads, built during the past year,
Dade County’s fine system
consolidated school are accomo-
dated by an up to date system of
school buses, taught and govern-
ed by some of Georgia’s best
talent. Trenton, the county site
of Dade, has a fine team of coun- j
ty officials who are honorable,
upright, courteous and efficient
in every respect; their hospitali-
ty is unsurpassed, standing ever-
ready to welcome others to share
the untold resources of North¬
west Georgia. We have the most
unlimited supply of high gTade
limestone; also, we have the fin¬
est grade of weathered and
quarried sandstone for building
purposes.
Dade County has unlimited de¬
posits of coal and iron; the tim¬
ber is abundant, with saw mills
and planers for the finishing
work. The soil of Dade Valley,
while it has been neglected, is
unsupassed anywhere; this fine
valley is protected and fed the
year ’round by the long and
spacious slopes of both Lookout
and Sand Mountains, and while
these mountains stand up like the
mighty hand with the protection
of this fine, rich valley, they al¬
so furnish the finest and most
attractive scenery in the whole
South for tourist, sight seers and
lovers of the natural beauties,
which God Almighty has placed
for the enjoyment of the free and
upright people of the whole
world; the entire valley, which
runs the full length of the county,
is not only protected by these

must think of the one who doeth
all things well, to realize what
an unsurpassed wonder it really
is. Fairyland on top of Lookout
Mountain is one of the finest
residental sections, and in con¬
nection with Point Lookout, has
more fine homes and club houses
than any natural summer resort
anywhere of its surroundings.
The pure atmosphere and bright
sunshine and altitude, and with
the scenery, makes it one of the
most attractive places to visit or
live for natural comfort and
health that have seen- Just

Lookout Mountain Hotel. It is

j tel was built on Jackson’s Hill,
j the highest point in Georgia,
which stands as. a signal monu¬
ment to the State of Georgia;

tanooga. The Scenic Highway
which passe by this Hotel from
Point Lookout, runs down the

I East of Trenton, Ga. In this Park
is Sitton’s Gulch, now named
I Cloudland Park, but referred to
by the visitors, as the Grand
! Canyon of the South. It is truly
worthy of your time to visit, and
it is a real pleasure to drive
over the fine road from Chatta¬
nooga over the Scenic Highway
or via Trenton over the Chatta-
nooga-Birmingham highway and
up the Mountain from Trenton
over the Trenton-LaFayette high¬
way to the Park.
There are many features of in¬
terest on the mountains of Dade
County, which are too numerous
to mention, but will entertain
all who are interested in summer
homes, wild life or investments
for homes to live or small farms
to grow fruits and vegetables.
Respectfully submitted,
