furlough, but has returned to

family reunion. The reunion
was held this year at Dolph
Johnson's down near little Riv¬
er and some of the relatives at¬
tended from here.
Glad to report Mr. Will John¬
son somewhat improved.

The Womans’ Christian Ser¬
vice of the Methodist church
met at the home of Mrs. R. P.
Fricks on Wednesday evening,
July 22. Mrs. J. M. Ingle had
charge of the devotion. Nine¬
teen members and one visitor
were present. After the meeting,
delicious refreshments were ser¬
ved by the hostess.
The Rising Fawn Home dem¬
onstration club met at the home
of Mrs. B B. Kennimer Thurs¬
day, July 23. The art of can¬
ning was demonstrated. Miss
Katherine Berryman was in
charge.
