Outlook Good For
Squirrel Hunters
Squirrel Hunters in Dade
County today began the legal
season, a month behind most of
North Georgia.
Ranger Bob Baker said indica
lions are that there is an
abundance of squirrels in the
county.
The Dade County Wildlife
Club, which meets Monday night
at the Courthouse in Trenton, is
endeavoring to get the Game
and Fish Commission to alter
the season, with the openng a
month earlier.
Mr. Lunsford Fricks, presi¬
dent, said it is too early to
determine whether the commis¬
sion would act favorably.
Dade Wildcats Win
13-0 Over Indians
The Dade Wildcats pushed
over two quick touchdowns in
(the first half and then went on
“defense” to hand the Dunlap
Indians a 13-0 loss last Friday
night at the Dave L. Brown
Field.
Dade took the opening kick¬
off and after failing to pick up
a first down, punted to Dunlap.
After moving to the 32 yard
line, Dunlap drew a 15-yard
penalty and had to punt to
Doug Wheeler for Dade.
Ken Pennington scored but
Wheeler’s try for the extra point
was wide.
The next touchdown was
scored by Gene Hixon and
Wheeler's point after touch¬
down was good to make the
score 13-0.
The Wildcat line stopped
(every drive that Dunlap started.
The line was named by McKaig,
Moore, Gothard, Geddie, Ble¬
vins, Haygood, Bowen, Emman¬
uel and Gilley.

Drop Game to Pisgah
The Davis Yellow Jackets
to Pisgah, 12-7, at Davis, last
Saturday in their second foot¬
ball game of the season against
an Alabama team.
Scoring for Davis was Mark
Cloud, who also gained the ex¬
tra point in a conversion run.
Pisgah scored in the first
quarter and led until the final
quarter when Cloud scored,
leaving Davis in the lead by one
point.
In a fast and furious finish,
Pisgah scored again however
and the game was over.

Game to Honor State
The colorful 130-piece Dixie
Redcoat Band from the Univer¬
sity of Georgia will parade in
special tribute to “Georgia Day”
on the Washington Redskins'
/half-time show, Sunday, Act. 18.
The Redskins will battle the
Pittsburgh Steelers at Griffith
Stadium and the game will be
telecast on CBS-TV.
One of the show features will
be Barbara Emminger, world
champion baton twlrler and
sophomore at Georgia.
