OBITUARY.
The subject, James Preston
Simpson who departed this life
October 4ih, 1902, was born and
reared in this county where he
spent the greater portion of his
life. twenty-nine
year? of age, haying given six of
the number in serving his Master.
He was converted in 1896 and is
understood lo have been perfectly
satisfied with his prospects of
eternal happiness in the Hereatter.
On December 28th. 1898 our
subject was married to Miss Mary
Bed I with whom lie lived until his
death. Then* home was blessed
with one child who with’her moth
er is left to fight the b.-.ttles of life
.alone. Mr. Simpson, the deceased,
has.many relatives in Dade coun
ty including" a brother.,-. Win.
Simpson, who resides in Trenton.'
To all the grief stricken vye can
offer but one consolation, Janies’
lot is but die common heritage of
all and since, his. life was ended
with great faith in his -Kjod, to
gether with’ .justifiable hopes of
eternal bliss, we can but add. liveJ
right and be prepared to meet God
as was James.

Powell jumped ou an invented rake
made ot ten penny nails, and
thrust one nail entirely through
her foot and a second one halt
