ft:-
For the past eight months we
bare labored assiduously to give
the people of Dado county and our
patroas elsewhere a newspaper
comnseasnrate with our support.
With eur efforts we have not been
altogether satisfied,.but with the
opening of the new year we hope
to profit by our paet deficiencies.
The mechanical effects ot our paper
will be much improved, while we
hop# to infuse naw life into the
editorial and news department.
We have not been pereistent in
dunning our subscribers as evi
denced by our subscription book.
Our terms for subscription are re
quired in advanee by our rule, but
in practice we have sadly de
ficient.
Of course fifty cents or a dollar
is not much by itself.but if two or
hnadred subscribers withold
that much its effects will bs felt at
this ofiiee.
With love in ur beasts fer all,
and an everlasting good will for
our subscriber#, allow us to insist
upon the payment of all subscrip
