What the Southern Folks are Doing???The Latest News by Mail and Wire to The Constitution. The week has been one of unprecedented rain throughout the southern states, with rumors here and there of spring freshets and floods. No danger is reported as yet There is the usual amount of gossip and adventure, crime and casualty to report, and a summary of which will be found below. Virginia. Richmond, Va??? March 3.???Moses M. Ellick, dry goods merchant In the lower part of this city, was fatally shot to-dsy by his son Moses. The young man fired four shots at his father, two of which took effect in his back. Tho son was arrested while in the act of shootirg hfs father. Ill treatment of his mother and other domestic troubles arc ahegad as the cause of the tragedy. Norfolk March 8 ??? Au explosion of the Virginia com press works this afternoon completely wrecked the msshlug and engine rooms, and It Is feared buried one or two persons under the debris.
