Bostox, August 13.???'Tho delegates to the
???econd annual convention of the Irish national
league began to asaemblo in Knncuil hall in
this city, at half past 11 o.'clock this morning.
By noon the body of tho hall was pretty well
filled with delegates, who numbered BOO, and
the galleries were crowded with spectators.
Among the delegates and sj>ectators are a groat
many ladies, many of them being representa
tives of the woman???s branch of tho Irish
lionol league, recently established by Mrs.
rarnell. The delegates present a fine appear
ance, and undoubtedly form a representative
body of Irishmen. Throughout tho body of
the hall aro many gentlemen whoso habili
ment indicate their priestly calling. Although
it was announced that tho convention would
ho called to order at eleven o???clock, tho del
egates at 12:16 had not all arrived. Pan* nil
hall never was more profusely decorated
than it is this morning and every feature of
adornment indicutes n gathering of a host of
