NOTICE OF AN ELECTION.
To the Qualified Voters of the City
of Milledoemlle;—Notice Is hereby
given that an election will be held In the
city ot Milledgevllle on the 3rd day of
December, 1894, for the purpose of obtain
ing the absent of two-thirds of the <ji all-
lied voters of said city to the Issuing or
bonds to the amount of Twenty-two
Thousand Dollars for the purposes herein
after sut forth. That the total amount of
said bonds shall not exceed Twenty two
Thousard Dollars: They shall bear Inter
est at the rate of six (6) per cent, per an
num, payable at the office of the City
Treasurer annually on December first,
and they shall be of tbe denominations
ami numbers following, to-wit: fhirty-
ejght bonds each for the principal sum of
Five Hundred Dollars with Interest cou
pons attached thereto, numbered from and
to tnirtv-eigiit Inclusive, and thirty bonds
e.aeh for the principal sum of One Bundle I
Dollurs with itfrest coupons attached

principal of said bonds shall he paid an
nually by the Mayor and Aldermen ot

on December, the tfrst of each year, and

shall lie fully paid off tn thirty years from

Said bond8 shall he used for the purpose
of paving off the debt incurred by said

thousand dollars, which last named bonds

same,

tions as are now provided for the holding

said city. All the qualified voters or said

Bonds”: nil opposed, “Against Bonds”.

mine the question of Increasing the rate of
taxation upon all the property In said City
nnd authorizing the Mayor nnd Aiderinen
thereof hereafter to levy and collect tl
same for the following purposes, to-wlt:
1st. The amount now realized by tl.
levy nnd collection of one-half of one per
cent, being insufficient to defray the ordi
nary current expeusfs of said city, an
additional tux of one-fourth or one per
cent, is necessary to meet the same.
2d. For extraordinary expenses to he
used and expended only In the enlarging
and supporting a school svstein without
charge or other tee for matrloulatlon by
the children of lawful school age In the
schools of sold city, a rate of one-half of
one per cent, upon the tuxable property of
said clt y.
This election will bo held under ami by
virtu-of the provisions of Section 1.072(d)
of the code of Georgia. AM voters voting
at said election, who favor satd Increase of
taxation, shall have written or printed
