We do not believe that the Demo
crats' will lose an) senatorial seat ns
the result of the coming elections.
They will certainly gain one in Dela
ware arid the chances are fine for the
elect ion of a Democratic legislature
in Illinois, where Senator Culloui’s
term is expiring. These gains would
give us fort}-six senators and i asy
control of tlint body.
It should be remembered also that
Utah is about to be admitted as a
state and in all p:pliability its sena
tors and representative will be Dem
ocrats.
