INCANDESCENT LIGHTING.
Residents can have the beau
tiful incandescent Glow Lights
placed in their dwellings for
about the cost of oil.
Place your orders with A. J.
Brown at once that you may
secure these lights without
further delay. The safest, stead
iest and best lights for houses in
existence; no tire; no heat; no
matches to destroy life or property.
Enclosed in glass it burns without
air, has no unpleasant odor, re
quires no attention, and stands
without a rival for safety and
convenience.
The healthful advautage of the
electric light above all other ar
tificial sources of lighting, cannot
bo disputed. Gas, oil, candles,
all consume great quantities of the
oxygen of the air. and thus make
it very injuripus to health. Gas
raises the temperature greatly
and forms carbon dioxide, com
pound of sulphur, etc., which are
fatal to health as well as to plant
life, and even fabrics. The elec
tric light does not raise the tem
perature of the atmosphere, aud
cannot form the above injurious
products of decomposition. The
color of the incandescent glow
light has the advantage in stores
over open burners in prominently
showing up the delicate shades of
the goods. There are many
colors, for instance green and
blue, that are quite difficult to
distinguish one from the other,
and others that cannot be told at
all when seen by gas or oil light,
that are prominently set forth in
their natural tints by ,the white,
colorless glow lamps.
The street lights will bo put in
good order as fast as possible.
Send your orders to Snperinten-
den Brown and they will receive
prompt attention.

remedial properties of plantp. They
have made many discoveries, but
their greatest achievement was made
last year. It is a cordial that con
tains already digested food and is a
digester of food. It is effective in
removing distress after eating, and
creates an appetite for more tood so
that eatlug becomes a pleasure. Pale
thin people become plump and
healthy under its use. It arrests the
wasting of consumption.
There never has been such a step for
