Wnen a person is losing flesh and
wasting away there is cause for a-
larm. Nothing so worries a physi
cian. Consumptives would never die
if they could regain their usual
weight. In fact there would be no
consumption If there were no wast
ing of the system. The cause of
this loss of flesh is a failure to prop
erly digest the food eaten. Nine-
tenths of all our diseases date back
to some derangement of the stom
ach.
The Shaker Digestive Cordial will
stop this wasting of the body. -It
acts by causing the food we eat to
oe digested so as to do good, for un
digested food does more harm than
good. The Cordial con 1 ains food al
ready digested and a digester of
foods as well.

Or you will be a sufferer. Fail not to do what? We will
tell you. Every housekeeper wants to make a fruit cake for Xmas
and we have just received cleaned currants, raisins, figs, citron all uew
ready for use. Why not make your cake now while eggs are cheap,
butter plentiful, and fruits are fresh. Beside all these considera
tions a fruit cake is better for the keeping. Well so much for this
much. Now housekeeper do you have any trouble finding some
thing for meals if so come to our place, we haven’t space to enu
merate the goods, but come and see, we will be glad to show you
what we have.

Vestry, with a view of repairing to
a wider field of usefulness to wnlch
he has been invited:
Resolved. Tnat we bear williug aud
emphatic eyidenoe to the energy, die

has discharged his parochial duties—
instructing the children in religious
knowledge, visiting the sick, alle

well as aiding and guiding all, botli
by precept and example, and iu
burying our sacred dead. In his
puipit and chancel ministrations, he
has enlightened, interested and com
forted his lieaiers, some of whom
were unaccustomed to worship ia the
Church of St. Stephen’s. He has
diffused among his parishoners his
own blessed spirit of Christian char

modest, unpretending and gentle
manly demeanor aud genial dispo
sition won our hearts aud contrib
uted largely to the aggregate of our
social enjoyment.
R solved,; Tnat relying upon his
disinterested and conscientious obe

duty, aud unwilling to add one more
to tue inevitable pangs, inevitable in
the severance of ties alike dear to
him and to us, we forbear remon

I accept his resignation.
Resolved, That we commend our
beloved Rector aud his interesting
family to the confidence of the Epis
copacy, the Clergy and the Laity,
among whom their future lots may be
cast, above all invoking for them to
the end of their days the blessing of
Almighty God.
Resolved, That a copy of these

Sturges, and the Secretary be di«
reo ed to spread a copy of the same
