i lnteiesting Sermons.
The Baptist church was crowded
ust Sunday morning. The large cou-
grftration listened ;o au eloquent
sermon, from the pastor, Key. J. A.
Wray. He pointed those who had
trials and tribulations in this world,
to the peace that awaited them, if
they would be faithful Christians.
He announced that his subject for
the evening sermon, would be an im»
portant Question, and urged the
yjung people to attenU.
The night service opened a* 7
o’clock, with every available seat,
taken, and many people were stand
ing. After singing and prayer, the
preacher announced for his subject, ■
-Where is thy brother?” This ques
tion was second only to the one lie
asked a few Snnday nights ago—
“Where art thou?” Do yon guard
your brother’s iuterest? What is
your influence as a church member?
Are you standing in any one’s way?
He denounced in strong languages
the evils of the modern dance and
card playing. He said that he had
known young men to rnuke gam-
tilers, who first learned to play cards
hi fashionable purlors. Heportrayed
the evils of intemperance in strong
words. He held the close attention
of his hearers for pearly an hour.
Mr. Wray, though a young man,
lias proven himself a uiitiDter of
great anility, and an earnest and
eloquent preacher. If be receives
the co operation, lie should, from the
Christian people of his church and
our city, he will accomplish much
good.
We would like to look into the
pleasant face of some one who has
never had any derangement of the
digestive organ. We see the drawn
and unhappy faces of dyspeptics in
every walk ot life. It is our national
disease, and nearly all complaints
spring from this source. Remove the
stomach difficulty and the work is
done.
Dyspeptic and pale thin people are
literally starving, because they don’t,
digest their to id. Consumption
never deyelopes in people of robust
ami normal digestion. Correct the
wasting and loss of flesh and we cure
the disease. Do this with food.
The Blinker Digestive Cordial con
tains already digested food and is a
digester of food at the same time.
Its effects are felt ut ouce. Get a
pamphlet of your druggist, aud learn
about it.

missed a conference in years, and
Methodist folks say these sessions

will live to make the world better for
