Organized democracy
Baldwin again.
The only hope for the farmers is a
diversified crop.
The Democratic majority in this
county was a surprise.
If you are due the Union Recorder

One Minute Cough Cure, cures.
That Is what It was made for.
There are several new residences
now under construction in this city.
The election is over. Now- let our
people get down to work for fall and
winter business.
The large registration in Baldwin
county was alarming to old-time Dem
ocrats. But "all’s well that ends well.”
There are some reforms needed in
the Democratic party, and if the popu
lists all return to the fold they can be
made.
Capt. G. W. Hollinshead, chairman,
and the entire democratic executive
committee have discharged their duties
with signal ability.
When people say unpleasant things
about you, the first and best thing for
you to do is to investigate your
self and see if they are true.
it Impure blood is an enemy to health,
and may lead to serious disease.
Hood’s Sarsaparilla conquers this
enemy and averts danger.
A meeting of the Board of Educa
tion of Baldwin county is called for
next Saturday at 11 o’clock at the of
fice of commissioner Lamar.
When you call for DeWitt’s Witch
Hazel Salve, the great pile cure, don’t
accept anything else. Don’t be talked
into accepting a substitute for piles,
for sores, for burns. Culver & Kidd.
The farmers of Baldwin county
could have made more money this
year, if they had gathered the hay
crop, than they will realize from (heir
cotton.

An Editor’s Daughter’s Dolls.
The editor ot Harper's Magazine,
Mr. Henry M. Alden, has a daughter
who has made a collection of over 100
dolls, each doll representing a different
nation and being made in that country.
The collection is considered to be the
most unique and finest ot its kind in
existence. Miss Alden is now to show
the world her dolls, and explain them,
and in the next issue of The Ladies’
Home Journal she will show pictures
of the first twenty. In following issues
she will show the others.

It is proposed by tne Commissioner
General for the United States to the
Paris Exposition to make especially
conspicuous and resplendent the cele

coming Exposition. The great feature
of these exercises is to be the unveiling
and dedication of a monument from
the children and youth of our country
to the memory of our nation’s first ben
efactor and defender LaFayette. The
proposition to raise the funds necessary
for the erection ot the monument
through the agency of the schools, has
for one of its chief purposes, the direc

to a broader study of the historic events
of the early days of the Republic—
The superintendents of schools are
requested to take this matter up and
aid in such manner as they may think
best. Robert J. Thompson secretary
