ORGANIZED IN 22 COUNTIES
Worsham and Hudson Gratified
at Success in South-
West Georgia.
Atlanta. Ga., Feb. 21.— State Kntn-
mologirt Wortham and Commissioner
of Agrlcnltare Hudson are both deeply
gratified at the soocesa of the campaign
in 23 ootnMea of Somth-trest Georgia to
arouse interest of cotton growers in or
ganizing ootton breeding clnbs.
Such clnba were organized in each
connty visited, and the two officials
named believe that this section will be
well prepared for the boll weevil when
it crosses the line of Alabama into tliftt
section. In spite of bad weather much
of the time, each meeting was well at
tended and the interest was undoubted.
Mr. Worsham is now at, work on a
hybled cotton, whicli ho hopes to take
ttie place of sea island cotton, whicli,
it is feared, will be knocked out by the
weevil. This will be a cross between
Egyptian and Dixie cotton. The Egyp
tian is immune to black root, and the
cross will produce an early maturing
ioug style variety that will mature be
fore the weevil, gets back..

A loved one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in oar home
That never can be filled.
We had a little treasure once,
She was oar joy and pride,
Vfe loved her, Oh! perhaps too well,
For soon she slept ana died.
All is dark within our dwelling,
Lonely are our hearts to-day,
For the one we loved so deariy
Has forever passed away,
Darling Doris, she has left ns;
