Please allow me space in your pa per to thank all the good people of your city who, after the death of my son, \V. E. Brantley, which occurred at the (!. M. College on the 6th day of March last, came to me with so many words of helpful sympathy and the assurance of their prayers. I want to thank Drs. Binion and [ Allen and the nurses who ministered so faithfully to my son’s wants and j comforts during his illness. Also, I | want to thank Dr. Wilkinson, Dr. i Lipham and Mr. Howard and many other Christians, whose names I can- j not remember, who came to me with words of consolation. I wish to say, too, that tlie. G. M. C. faculty and student body endeared themselves to me for life by their helpful words and consoling sympathy. Their every attention is greatly appreciated am will be remembered during the re mainder of my life. The spirit of “our Christ” is the only thing that could have prompted these good people to have shown me so many kindnesses during this sor row, and it has made me feel more like singing “Blest be the tie that binds” than ever before.
