ROBBED FRIDAY NIGHT
Burglars Traced to Their Home in
Jones County by J. 1- Browns
Blood Hounds and Arrested—
Very Little Money Secured.
The s‘ore of Mr. W. H. Bock in
the southern part of the county near
Stevens Pottery, was robbed Friday
night, and about fifty or sixty dol
lars in money stolen.
Saturday morning Mr. J. T. Brown
from Stevens Pottery went to the
scene of the robbery with his famous
blood hounds. The dogs immediate
ly took up the trail and followed it
three or four miles, go ng into Jones
county, to the home of Doe and Toto
Simon, two negroes. The negroes
were placed under arrest and brought
to Milledgeville and lodged iti jail.
It is reported the negroees have con
fessed the crime.
Mr. Brown has with his blood
bounds caught several parties who
have committed crime in that neigh
borhood during the past two or three
weeks. It is said that these hounds
are the best blood dogs of their kind
ever in this section, and the work
they have done will bear out this
statement.

Have You Bought Your Seals?
ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS SEALS
Beginning Monday, December 13,
these seals will be on sale at the
following stores:
Culver and Kidd.
Hall’s Pharmacy.
Ennis’ Pharmacy.
W. H. My rick’s.
E. E. Bell’s.
The money derived from the sale
of these seals is to he used locally
for the fight against tuberculosis. It
is therefore our fight and needs our
earnest support. These seals are
taking the place of Red Cross Xmas
Seals which before this have been
placed on sale at this time.
Poverty and ignorance are the two
factors largely responsible for tuber
culosis. It must therefore be fought
where these two evils exist in great
est degree; that is, among our wash
erwomen, housemaids and cooks, for
two negro women to every negro
man is a victim of this disease. These
therefore are our greatest sources of
infection.
It is extremely important that we
buy seals and make possible a cam
paign THIS YEAR for this is the
time when poverty and consequent
lack of clothing, fuel and good food
will weaken the bodies of these un
fortunates in the most.
Now is the period of greatest need
for fighting if we intend to give Mill
edgeville A HEALTHY NEW YEAR.

Edison Re-Creations for you.
Mark how clear, how true the
piano tone. See how every note
in his runs, every accent in his in
terpretation, every shade in his
pedalling is perfectly Re-Created.
This was proved by a test made
at Mr. Rachmaninoff’s home in
New York City. He played the
Second Hungarian Rhapsodie
(Liszt) in direct comparison with
the Rx-Creation of his perform
ance by the New Edison. The
absolute fidelity of the Re-Creation
to the artist’s original peformance
astounded the listeners.
