Miss Mattie Keill died at her home
in this city Saturday afternoon. Jan
uary 16th, at four o’clock,
j Miss Keil wn stricken Saturday
I before her death, and pneumonia
j developed rapidly. It was soon roal-
! ized by physicians and nurses that
'she was desperately ill, and despite
of medical skill and tender ministra
tion she grew worse and sank into
unconsciousness, the end coming {
quietly and peacefully.
The funeral services wore held nt |
the residence Sunday afternoon at (
four o’clock, being conducted by •
Rev. H. C. Emory, in the presence of j
a large' number of sorrowing rela-!
tives and friends. The remains were
buried in the city cemetery, the fol_ J

Miss Keil for a number of years;
is engaged in the milinery busi- j
ness here, and was one of Millcdge-
ille’s, best known women. She was |
by nature cheerful and nappy, and
'he added to this, a Christian char
ter, which made her faithful in the
discharge of the duties of life She
a member of the Methodist !
church, and was faithful to its teach- i
being u regular attendant upon !
iervires, and contributing liber '•
ally to its support. Those who knew j
r bpst loved her most, and her
mory will always be cherished by
them.
Miss Keil is survived by two sis- 1
ters, Mrs. J L Ivey of this city, and j
H. H. Greene, of West Point. I
a number of relatives in Mil. •
ledgeville.
