Jones in Midway. Mrs. Hertwig is

lanta Sunday to make a short visit
with Mrs. Gholston’s sister, Mrs. A.
C. McCoy.
Winifred Wynn, son of Prof, and
Mrs. W. T. Wynn, left Wednesday
for Atlanta, where he will work in
the Coca-Cola laboratory* during the
summer months. “Breezy,” as he ii
known by his friends, is a bright
boy, and makes rapid advancement
in what he undertakes.
Messages received from Mr. E. C.
Kidd, who with his family, is touring
the west in his automobile, states
that they arc having a great time,
and enjoying every day of their trip.
They left Milledgeville on June 9th,
for a trip to the Pacific coast expect
ing on their return trip to go into
Cnnnda.

Mrs. Nelson entertained at a prom
party in her honor Friday evening,
having as her guests twenty-five
young people. During the evening
punch and ice cream and cake were
served. It was n most delightful
party.
Mrs. Ola Torrance and Miss Pearl
Torrance have returned from a visit
to their daughter and sister, Mrs.
W. J. Camwell, of Newington. Mrs.
Carswell brought them home in her
automobile, and was accompanied
by Miss Vincey Mallard, of Sylvania
and Miss Thelma Wilson, of Dover.
They returned to their homes Tues
day morning.
Marjorie, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. C. F. Stone, celebrated the an
niversary of her sixth birthday or
Tuesday, June 21st, by giving a par
ty and having twenty-five of her lit
tle friends as her gues*s. The color
scheme of pink and white was car
ried out, and ice cream and marsh
mallow cake were served. The little

section. Peaches,, watermelons and
cantaloupes were being marketed in
abundance. The party made a day
of the trip returning to Milledgeville
late in the evening.
