What he wants most of all is to keep hit# love and esteem for you and you ought to work at making yourself worthy of that much more than to work at how he will look to other people. 1 do not mean to underrate the little attentions that should be be stowed upon those we love, hut I enrhasize the fact that these little thing® are of small importance com pand with the greater matters of life. On one occasion it was said by a wise man that the Pharisees paid tithes of mint, anise and cumin, but reelected the greater matter.# of the law. So we sometimes make the mis take of looking for flecks of dust when we should be admiring tlip land scape. It is all a matter of proportion. The principal thing to learn in living in how to value things, how to be parti cular about the essentials and give small heed to the non-essentials.
