With the slogan "Every Church

the best “every member canvass” in
its history. On March 11, when the

CHAPLAIN’S REPORT
State Farm, Milledgeville, Ga.,
February 1st, 1928.
The Hon. Prison Commission,
Atlanta, Georgia.
Gentlemen:
I herewith submit my report for
December and January, 1927 and
1928.
Jessie Wiseman Gibbs, Villisco,
Iowa sent us a supply of tracts. The
Apostolic Faith Pub. Co., Portland,
Oregon, and The Gospel Trumpet
Co., Macon, Ga., gave us beautiful
“Gospel Art Calenders for 1928. The
Institute Colportagc Association,
Chicago, Illinois, sent us another box
of their booklets and other literature.
During my absence at Christmas
and New Year’s Day, pastors from all
the churches in Milledgeville took
care of my work at the Male and
Female camps, and R .W. Hatcher,
a layman of the Catholic Church—
took charge of the service at the
Tuberculosis camp, and gave each
of the men a gift as a Christmas
greeting. Mrs. R. B. Moore, and her
co-workers brought a delightful
Christmas program to the Male camp.
Under the efficient direction of the
Warden and Matron, Cap 4 -, and Mrs.
J. E. Smith, both the white and col
ored women and girls at the Femacl
camp rendered Christmas programs
of utiusual interest.
Sixty-eight religious services have
been held on the farm during De
cember and January, twenty-two of
which were with condemned men in
the Death Cells. As .a VISABLE re-
jult twenty-nine persona have accept-
?d Christ, publicly declaring it to
>e the DESIRE and PURPOSE of
their life be Christains. All of these
have voluntarily joined The State
Farm Religious Association and The
“Focket Testament League.”
There have b’en five deaths, two
of whom were electrocuted.
Respectfully submitted,
E. A. ATKINS, Chaplain.
