in the Sports arena. Directed by Kid
Cecil .the Barnesville team is one of
the strongest in the state.
Monday night. Brewton-Parker
Institute will send its indoor artists
here for a game. The South G.orgia
lads come highly rated and the game
will be one of the best in the season
acording to reports, and will be an
ideal semi-windup affair.
The last game of the season on
the local court will be played Feb
ruary 24th, the Agricultural boys of
Barnesville and the 5th A. M. sharing
honors in the Grand Finalle.

the American Legion Wednesday
evening at a costume dinner-dance
at the Elks Club.
The club rooms, where the dinn<
was served were attracively decorat
ed, the Valentine and George Wash
ington idea being carried out.

Jett were awarded th: prizes for the
most attractive coustumes. Mr. Jett
was dressed ay a Spaniard and Miss
Burr’s costume was that of a bell hop.
The occasion was one of the most
delightful affairs that th: Legion has
ever held.
