FUL EVENT OF LAST WEEK
The Juniors Prom of the* Peabody!
High School was u delightful event of j
la«t Friday evening, the party being \
given in the assembly Hall at the
home of Dr. and Mm. H. D. Alien.
Tne occasion was that of the Junior |
class entertaining the Senior Class of |
the Peabody High School. The deco-
rations were in the class colors of
blue and white. An improviset
garden waa arranged at one end of
the hall where the guests gathered at
tables and were served punch. Proms
were enjoyed during the evening.
The G. M. C. orchestra furnished the
music for the occasion.
Blocked cream with th«. numbers
28 frozen in blue were served at the
conclusion of the party.
A large number of young people
were present for this annual event
in the High School life at the col
lege.

The Senior Music Club will meet
at the home of Mm. Emmett L.
Banu-> at 3:30 p. M., Saturday, April
28th, Mrs. W. S. Jett will be joint
hostess with Mrs. Barnes at this time.
Thi club has as a topic for study
‘Music in the 19th Century", the dis
suasion being led by Mm. William B.
Brigman. The high light of the
program for the afternoon will be a
pro** translation of Ibsen’s drama,
Peer Gynt, read by Mrs. Wm. S. Jett,
illustrated by muMcal numbers from
the Grieg Peer Gynt Suit* No. 1,
which wil be played in piano duet
form by Mcsdames Bland, Barnes,
Brigman and Cox. The ‘‘leit-motifs”
from Wagner’s opera “Lohengrin"
will also be discussed and illustrated.
