UNION RECORDER, MILLEDGEVILLE, GA., JULY IS, IMS LaND SALE GEORGIA, Baldwin County: City of Milledgeville: The undersigned will *.«11 at public outcry before the Court House door in Baldwin County within the legal hours of sale, on the first Tuesday in August, 1928, to the highest bidder for cash, . the following described portion of railroad street in said city, to-wit: All that portion of Railroad Street lying and being North of the right- of-way of Georgia Railroad and be tween Tan Yard Branch and the Southeast comer of the lot of C. H. Bonner which lies on the comer of Railroad and Wilkinson Streets, said land being a parcel of land approxi mately one hundred feet wide nad two hundred ten feet long, and bounded a> follows: On the North by the land of H. T. Fraley; on the East by Railroad Street; on the South by the Right-of-way of the Georgia Railroad; on the West by Tan \ ard Branch, which is a branch running from the lands of the Misses Carrington in a Southerly drieetion across Railtoad Street and under the Railroad track of Georgia Railroad. The Eastern boundary dividing the portion of Railroad Street to be sold from the unsold portion is a line running from the Southern croncr of a lot of Charlie Bonner on Rail road Street, South thirteen degrees East ind parallel to Wilkinson Street a distance of approximately one hun dred feet to the Right-of-way of the Georgia Railroad, and the Western boundary is the oranch above men tioned. July 26th, 1928. Said Street Improvement Section or Zone No. 47, consists of that por tion of Columbia Street lying and being between The North Property line of Green Street and the South Property line of Hancock Street. Bids will be received on 2” War- renite-Bitulithic wearing surface on •a 4 inch cement concrete base with the necessary curb gutter, storm sew- er pipe,- manholes and catch basins. Approximate quantities* are ns fol lows: 810 lineal feet of •"*18” granite curb with 810 lineal feet of C"x36” cement concrete gutter or 810 lineal feet of 6"*80” combined concrete curb and gutter^—bneal feat of concrete htwtder curb, 60 lineal feet of storm srwer pipe lines,— manholes, 2 catch basin*, and 1080 yards of pavement. Bids are asked on all of the said work and materials for said improve ment. Each bid must be accompani ed by a Carhier’s Check in the sum of 8375 made payable to the Treasur er of the City of Milledgeville, Gn., as a proposal guarantee. The plans and specifications may be inspected at the office of the Clerk and Treasurer of the City of Milledgeville or at the office of the engineer in Milledgeville. West has gone fa Waynesville, N. C., where she will spend the summer. Mrs. C. F. Stone and Beverly Stone are visiting relatives in Sparta. Mrs. C. L. Cox and daughter Bessie, have returned home after a visit to relatives in Bartow, Flo., Vienna and Macon, Ga. Mr. John Lawrence of Savannah, is spending this week with his moth er, Mrs. J. R. Lawrnece, and other relative# in the city. Mm W. T. Wynn and son. Mr. W. T. Wynn. Jr., of Detroit, have gone on a visit to relatvies at Clayton, and other points i* Alabama. Miss Julia Moore returned toduy for a stay of several week> in Mu- con. and left for a visit to Taliaferro county. She will go from there to South and North Carolina. Mr. E. E. Bell and Dr. T. M. Hall j left this morning for Warm Springs, where they will spend several days. Mr. Bell has been ill for the past two or throe weeks, and it is hoped that his health will be greatly im- : proved. Mrs. James T. Wright and Mrs. A. I’. Keisker and little daughter, of Bruswls, Belgium, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. II. About seventeen years ago Mr. Gaither came from Newton county to Milledgeville to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. 0. O. Banks, and the latter years of his life was vpent in this city.
