Mrs. Bank- -ston reached Milledgeville on Fri day and was the guest of Miss Leni Moore. On Friday afternoon Mrs. J. L. Beeson, who is the State Chairman of the Historical Essay contest for Georgia, entertained Mrs. Bankston at a lovely reception. Mrs. Beeson told of the loveiy responses she had had to her essay contest and that ten thousand school children had written essays on the life of Alexander H. Stephens. S. C. W. .at the chapel service. After the opening exercises, Mrs. Bankston was presented to the large body of school teachers by Mrs. Beeson in a few happy remarks. Mrs. Bankston said she considered it a high honor to be invited to talk to so many school teachers. In her address she urged them to teach the truths of history to the children. Fulghum, after which the body was tenderly laid to re>t in the Harrison cemetery.
