the office of County Treasurer for
the period Dec. 31st—June 30th,
Milledgeville, Ga.. July 16, 1928.
The Honorable Foreman and Gentle
men, Grand Jury. Baldwin Superior
Court, Milledgeville, Ga.
Sirs:
In .accordance with the acts of the
Legislature at their last session, and
under the provisions of the Vital
Statistics Law, Section 21, the Direc
tor of the Bureau of Vital Statistics
desires that all authorities concerned
in the collection of vital statistics,
that is birth and death records, and
Tccords of communicable and con
tagious diseases, be cautioned and
warned to conform strictly with the
provisions; of that law in order to
escape the sure penalty by the State
Department for violation of the same.
I pray you therefore that in your
presentments to the Court, you issue
warning to all district registrars,
physicians, midwives, undertaker*,
and all other parties concerned in the
reporting of births, deaths, and dis
eases, that they conform strictly with I
the vital statistics law, for it might
be an embarasring penalty to some of |
these citizens failing to conform to I
the law, and surely to those who
utterly ignore it.
Thanking your earnest attention in :
this matter Gentlemen of the Grand I
Jury, I remain.
Most respectfully,
