Bivens, to Mr. Verlin Barnett, of Ridgeway. S. C., which was solemnized at the home of the bride on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 21. at 6 o'clock, is of cordial interest to the many friends of the br.de throughout Jones and Baldwin) j counties. The lovely country home was deco rated with green vines and bright summer flowers. The guests, 100 in number, .assembled here. In the liv ing room, where the impressive rins ceremony was performed by the Rev H. D. Wa THE GOLDEN WEDDING OF MR. AND MRS. JOE YOUNGBLOOD One of the rare occasions in the march of events of our county was the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Youngblood. They were married just 50 years ago Tuaeday, August 28th the home decorated in gold and yellow, the table was decorated in golden flow- and the cake was a gorgeous gold- yellow. MISSES BRIDWELL AND LAW RENCE ENTERTAIN AT HOME IN TOOMSBORO Miss Baybcllc Bridwell and Sara and Charlotte Lawrence entertained most delightful on last Friday even ing at the home of Mini Bridwell in Toomsboro. The home was elcaboratcly and beautifully decorated in yellow and red flowers, forming a lovely scene for the reception of more than thirty guests who enjoyed the games and proms during the evening. Punch was served from a large bowl that had been banked with flow ers on one end of the spacious veranda. Delicious refreshments were served at the conclusion of the entertainment.
